Juan Carlos Mas’ firm seeks rezoning for 162-acre project in Miami-Dade
A Mas brother is pushing to rezone 162 acres of land outside of Miami Gardens for a massive mixed-use development with affordable housing, retail and industrial space. Landmark QOZB Construction LLC, an entity tied to Juan Carlos Mas of Coral Gables-based MAS AJP, filed an application with county officials to rezone the site at 20000 Northwest 47th Avenue from agricultural to BU-2 and industrial, the South Florida Business Journal reported. The BU-2 zoning district allows for large-scale commercial developments, according to Miami-Dade County.
