Massive Live Local project proposed for Fort Lauderdale amid housing crunch

A three-tower Live Local Act project is proposed to take the place of a former Winn-Dixie in Fort Lauderdale.  An entity linked to property owner John Thompson Loos III and Amy Loos Mergler filed an application for a residential project with 306 workforce housing units on a 3.1-acre site at 1625 and 1645 Cordova Road, the South Florida Business Journal reported.  Fort Lauderdale-based Dorsky + Yue International submitted the site plan, which was ordered by developer Beach Causeway LLC, managed by Richard Goldenberg, the outlet said.  The development site has 48,000 square feet of retail space.
