Miami puts short-term rentals under microscope after “Animal House” shutdown

The “Animal House” condo building in Brickell is the likely motive behind a Miami City Commission proposal to get a handle on short-term rentals. District 2 Commissioner Damian Pardo, whose district includes The Club at Brickell Bay, is sponsoring the legislation. The building recently made local headlines because of partying vacationers making life miserable for residents.
