Two mansions led slow buying week for Palm Beach luxury market

Two near-waterfront mansions brought in the largest contracts in Palm Beach County last week. Buyers signed 13 contracts between Aug. 10 and Aug. 16, according to the weekly report by Douglas Elliman’s Eklund-Gomes team, which tracks all listings in the county with an asking price of $3 million and above. The week’s total contract volume, based on asking price, was under $96 million, less than half the explosive prior week, which totaled about $245 million.
